Rhinelander Northwoods Composite Team (RNC)

The Rhinelander Northwoods Composite is a mountain biking team comprised of middle and high school students from Rhinelander, Tomahawk, Lakeland, Northland Pines, Three Lakes, Crandon and Phelps.   The RNC team was started in 2016 and since then we have welcomed girls and boys of all skill levels to join us on the trail!  The season begins in mid-July and goes through late October. Riders have the opportunity to race in 5 races held throughout the State. Racing is not required. Most practices are held at the Washburn trails west of Rhinelander and at the Northwoods Trails at the Rhinelander Golf Course.  

Youth interested in joining the team are welcome to join us at our spring Try It Out event in May or join us for a practice or two in the fall, before registering in full for the team!  Whether your goal is to stand on the podium or simply to enjoy a few hours a week riding bikes with friends, you are welcome!  

RNC is a member of the WI High School Cycling League. The Wisconsin High School Cycling League, a National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) Affiliate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Mountain Biking to Wisconsin High Schools and their associated Middle Schools. The organization is dedicated to equality, inclusivity, and the building of strong character, strong minds and strong bodies in our youth through mountain biking.
