We have 3 major events we run every year. But depending on the weather and how everyone’s feeling (sometimes we just feel the need to get together) we may organize a quick event or someone out there may be organizing a group ride.

You might even feel like trying to organize one yourself!

Join us for RASTA’s annual spring mountain bike race and celebration for all ages!

The event takes place at Washburn Silent Sports Trails, a premier mountain bike destination in Rhinelander. Whether you are a small tyke, a new rider or an experienced racer, there will be a course for you.

Race courses will be determined closer to the event.

Approximate length of courses: 1 mile (ages 0 – 10), 7 miles, and 14 miles. Distances subject to change.

Registration: 9:30am – 11:30am

Race Start: Noon

RASTA Rally 2023 Results

2024 dates for the Rock N Root have not been finalized yet. The event typically takes place in July.

In 2022 Rhinelander Area Silent Trails Association (RASTA) held the 10th Annual WEMS Rock’n Root race and WEMS Series Championship at the Washburn Lake Silent Sports Trails Area, Perch Lake Shelter, 7650 County Park Rd, approximately 6 miles west of Rhinelander, WI, on Saturday, September 25th, 2021. The park consists of an enclosed, heated shelter building with a covered deck with fireplace, vault toilets, disabled access fishing pier and a grassy picnic area with grills and tables.

Global Fatbike Day

Saturday May 18, 2024 at 3pm

Join us in celebration of Global Fat Bike Day, the beginning of the Fat Biking season and our local trails!

Group ride begins at 3:00pm, potluck around the campfire to follow. Bring a dish to share.

All are welcome! Whether you are an experienced rider, new to the sport or merely considering buying your first bike, come meet others who like to ride and learn about the trails in the area.
