Dec. 13 update for Washburn, Cassian, and Nose Lake ski trails

Published: December 13, 2024

Our ski trails got off to a good start on the 4th and 5th last week.  We received around 5+ inches of snow.  It was our first measurable snow of the season.  With that said we began establishing the base by rolling all three trails.  Coverage on the trails varied form nice full coverage to some very thin spots.  That left us with a deck between 1-2 inches.  At that time they were barely skiable.  Since then we have had a small meltdown, with some  additional light fluffy snow on top.  The result is a crusty surface that is not very skiable.  Hopefully we will receive significant snow in the future.  Stay tuned as I will update the trails when changes occur.

Washburn Trails Are Open!

The Washburn Trails are now open to hiking and biking!  Please ride with caution as there are still a few sticks and leaves on many sections of trail.  Feel free to pick up the occassional stick and throw them off to the side, as you enjoy your hike or ride.
