With the dusting of snow since last night and this morning it has provided a noice coating of new snow. Washburn had been groomed, and will be cleaned up again on Friday morning. No grooming tomorrow. Nose Lake was tracked today, and the tracks should firm up nicely as the temperatures are dropping. One observation would be soft pole plants. As I was grooming this morning it was evident the edges of the trail appeared soft. Keeping fingers crossed they too will harden. Cassian is another story. It was rolled last night and compacted some more this morning, but that is where it ends. The Tidd-Tech groomer had a breakdown on the north end, and is another eye catching part of the forest. Don’t be alarmed when you see it. In the coming days our plan is to put it back together and get it back in business. All the trails still have some leaning trees and branches. We have removed a lot of those obstacles, but many remain. Most can be navigated easily. In the coming weeks we will slowly remove the pesky ones, but our hope is they will spring back on their own.
