Mud Lake Trails were groomed last night. There were a lot of trees down in the swamp, and they have been all cleared. Hopefully this snow set up with the colder temperatures. Remember, these groomed trails are for fat bikes and snowshoes only.

As of today both the Cassian and Nose Lake trails have been mowed. Grass is short, and should make for some easy going. With the breezy conditions, bugs maybe less of a nuisance. Have fun out there.

i rode today. conditions are good…slightly soft here and there and especially on the climbs.
i had Planned to head out to the THT loop via the main line. I veered right at the Y just after the first snow mobile trail (vs left to swamp)…but it seems I ended up on Terry’s loop as I was surprised to have arrived back at the mainline. I don’t recall any other trail connections after the initial Y. I am wondering if the trail has changed from what is on the map?

You’re right, the Mud Lake fat bike trails have changed. A landowner closed the snowmobile trail through their land, which resulted in a reroute of the snowmobile trail through through what was the main line. That means we lost the return from the swamp and no THT trail.
