Trail report for Washburn, Cassian, and Nose lake 2/17

Published: February 17, 2025

Finally getting some groom able snow.  The crews were out this weekend and today grooming all three trails.  Cassian has some iffy areas,  especially south of Timber Lake Road.  You will find the coverage adequate, but not great.  This area is prone to poor coverage, and having debris getting in the way.  Any open area is susceptible to drifting with the breezy conditions accompanying this cold snap.  The North loop/stretch has the best coverage and will provide skiers the best conditions.  Washburn was touched up today, with the skate deck getting the attention.  Drifting is occurring in some of the open areas covering the classic tracks.  Some of those tracks were reset.  Nose Lake was completed on Saturday, and will provide good conditions for skiers.
