Washburn Cross County Ski Grooming Report, December 15, 2017

There was about an inch of new snow on the trail after grooming Thursday.  We did not set tracks as the depth of snow is not consistent enough.  The track set towards the Cassian trail has several dirt spots showing.  In general, the deck is firm and pretty good.  I skied before grooming and it was starting to break down on some of the uphills as the snow is very dry.  With the cold temps tonight, the deck should be pretty stiff in the morning.  There are a few, and I mean just a few, patches of leaves that have been turned up.  You can easily avoid these and I used my good ski’s tonight.
