Mud Lake Trails

Mud Lake trails are located three miles north of Rhinelander on Crystal Lake Road. These trails include over 8 miles of mostly hand built technical single track for mountain biking in the summer and fat biking and snowshoeing in the winter.  There is an easy peddling core artery which is machine built.  This artery allows you to access the single track as it crosses in numerous areas.  The rocks, roots, and boulder rollovers are sure to test your balance, technical skills, and level of cardio endurance.  There is even a floating log ride with a water handicap that several adventure seekers have endured.  The gently rolling topography includes hardwoods, aspen, pine, and the oh-so-popular cedar swamp. Several private landowners allow access to their property to make this trail system available for your enjoyment.  Please respect their property by leaving it better than you found it.
