RASTA Rally Mountain Bike Race
Sunday, May 17, 2020 Noon
Washburn Lake Silent Sports Trails Area,
7650 County Park Road, Rhinelander, WI
Back for our 7th year at the Washburn trails system the RASTA Rally offers over 8 miles of challenging single track, bridges, rock gardens, fast and fun flow trails, and a few whoops sections to boot. If you haven’t ridden Washburn lately, you’re in for a pleasant surprise as last fall we opened a new 1/3-mile section of trail with whoops, banked turns, and rock reinforced areas.
Race registration will be at the Perch Lake shelter set on the shores of Perch Lake. There will be two races consisting of a “Short Course” of approximately 7 miles that will use beginner single track and two track trails for a race of approximately ¾ to 1-hour that is for beginners to intermediate riders. The “Long Course” will use all of Washburn’s single track and some two track for a race of approximately 12 miles that should take 1-1/2 hours to complete (estimated winners time). Yes, our single track is challenging! A short course race for kids up to 11 years old is held after the main events. Exact courses and distances will be determined a week prior to race date. For up to date course and other race information, join our RASTA Facebook page.
Day-of registration is from 9:30 to 11:30 with a mass race start at noon.
