Nose Lake Ski Trail Work Day, May 30th, 8am to Noon

Nose Lake Ski Trail Work Day, Saturday, May 30th, 8 am until noonish.

We need help! The marking and permissions for the reroute of the Nose Lake Ski Trail is done and we need to clear the corridor before the bulldozer arrives to finish the work. What is this you ask? RASTA has been working with the County to bypass the lowland on the east loop that has been one of the most difficult places to groom and typically has the poorest trail conditions. The trail is being moved to the north of Nose Lake Road approximately 1/2-mile where we have a nice rolling topography that we are sure everyone will enjoy. We need a couple dozen volunteers to show up with gloves, mosquito spray, water, to move dead and down material from the logging road. We have enough chainsaw operators so do not bring one. We will work from 8 until noon, and then break for lunch that will be provided by RASTA. Bring a lawn chair to socialize. If we don’t get it all done in the morning, those that can will finish work in the afternoon. Look for the tent and cars approximately 1/2-mile south of the Hancock Lake/Nose Lake intersection. Nose Lake trail users, this is your chance to give back and help. Hope to see a bunch of familiar faces out there.
