NORTH TRAIL – Funding Drive
The new 2.7 mile North Trail located at the Washburn Silent Trails Areal is over 50% constructed
and the best is yet to come. The southern section of the North Trail is completed and will be opened next spring for hiking, biking and snowshoeing. However, we still need your help to complete the trail.
We are close. Thanks to the generous donations to the trail we are only a few thousand dollars short of our funding goal and completion of the trail. The trail is a great addition to the Washburn Silent Sports Area and the North Trail will make Washburn a premier trail system. Be a part of the excitement and help us complete the trail.
RASTA is doing it right! The trail is being built to sustainable standards for mountain bike trails to provide long term use and protect the landscape from erosion. In addition, we are avoiding trail construction from between April 15th and July 15th to avoid the spread of oak wilt and to preserve the beautiful oak stands the trail flows through.
Donations of $250 or more will be matched by our trail sponsors until the project is fully funded.
