In advance of the predicted snowstorm on Tuesday, we decided to rip up the tracks at Cassian. Mother Nature threw us a curve and left us pretty high and dry with that snowfall. However, since then we’ve had three days of snow showers. In the end it left us with 2+ inches of fluffy snow. Not the best grooming snow, but today we retracked Cassian. With this additional snow the tracks will be a little deeper, with emphasis on little. Obviously with the cold temperatures, the track will firm up quickly. Still your second skis would be recommended, because there are some thin spots, and a little dirt here and there.
