Month: December 2017

Enterprise was groomed tonight. Short and long loop. It was the first time grooming the short loop, so it may be really soft.
The skate deck was reset this afternoon.  Groomers put the teeth down into the deck trying to mix last nights fluff with the old snow.  With the cold temps. , the trail will harden in no time at all.  Still do not have classic tracks…we need more white stuff.
Well skiers, its been a dry week.  The promised snow didn’t materialize, except for a dusting on Wed.  However our trails are still open, but you may want to use those “B” skis. We brushed up the Washburn trail yesterday.  With the lack of snow, debris is beginning to collect, and the deck is thinning […]
There was about an inch of new snow on the trail after grooming Thursday.  We did not set tracks as the depth of snow is not consistent enough.  The track set towards the Cassian trail has several dirt spots showing.  In general, the deck is firm and pretty good.  I skied before grooming and it […]
Both trails had classic tracks set today.  The tracks  appeared to set up nicely, especially with the cold temps.  There will be patches of vegetation poking through in spots, but certainly nothing to warrant rock skis. At Nose Lake there are some bumpy spots in and around where the last logging operations took place.
The skate deck was set today. The snow that we received was fairly dry, and grainy, therefore the deck is not in mid season shape. A few dirt spots did arise today, so be aware of that. The deck will be a little bumpy, again due to the snow not compacting as we had hoped. […]
We received around 8-9 inches today.  Washburn was rolled today, and tomorrow we will be setting the skate deck.  On Friday we plan on setting classic tracks. Our groomers will make a trip out on the Cassian trail to begin the packing process.  The plan is to roll on Friday, and set the track on […]
The trails at Washburn were rolled yesterday.  The deck is extremely thin with sticks, grass poking through, and there are a few bare spots too.  With this said we are not recommending skiing even with rock skis.  More snow is in the forecast for Wed.  We will be out compacting as it falls. As for […]
